Mr. Dunbar boasts writing, producing and directing titles to his credit. This past year Mr. Dunbar directed his first full-length feature film, "Pastor Brown," and has completed writing the TV series based upon his debut film. In 2007 he starred and produced the independent feature film, “Dirty Laundry,” with Loretta Devine. He has also completed scripts for several television drama series entitled “Safe House”, “Insight” and “Gloves Off” which he is slated to executive produce. His love of directing and producing began in 2004, when he directed and produced the short film for Showtime entitled “The Great Commission.”!
Ms. Shine has recently served as Consulting Producer on Jada Pinkett-Smith’s writing and directorial debut “The Human Contract” that premiered at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. Ms. Shine produced Rockmond Dunbar’s “Tyler Perry’s The Family That Preys”, Prison Break”, directorial debut “Pastor Brown” and the LOGO Network first feature film foray “Noah’s Arc: Jumping the Broom”. Both films have received glowing reviews and “Noah’s Arc: Jumping the Broom” set per screen ticket sales records this past fall in limited release. The movie is a successful adaption of the hit series “Noah’s Arc” which helped launch LOGO and upon which Ms. Shine serves as an Executive Producer. Ms. Shine is also Co-Founder of Blackhouse, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Independent African-American cinema. Blackhouse launched at Sundance 2006 and continues its efforts to increase diversity at major domestic and international film festivals and beyond.
Chris Sergi is a Los Angeles based producer and business administrator, who has a developed a reputation for hard work and commitment in the entertainment industry, by working with a diverse and successful roster of production companies and producers. Mr. Sergi’s unique professional background crosses music, film and television. Recently, Mr. Sergi has merged with several production companies including actress, Elaine Hendrix (The Parent Trap, Superstar) and her production company, EHx Productions. Also, he became production manager of Rockmond Dunbar’s (The Family That Preys, Prison Break) company, Flypaper Entertainment as well as becoming partner in New Found Productions, a production company created by Darrin “DeWitt” Henson (Stomp The Yard, Tekken).
Melanie worked as a production accountant for four years before given an opportunity to work as a Unit Production Manager on a feature, and that was a job that thrilled and challenged her. All her experiences as a production accountant paid off as she was able to use those skills in her new position. While working as a UPM, Melanie was able to complete her MFA in Communications at Chapman University in 1999. From her work as a UPM, Melanie was promoted to Line Producer, then ultimately, Producer, working with such accomplished actors along the way as Martin Sheen, Marlon Brando, Tim Robbins, Whoopi Goldberg, Johnny Depp, Vince Vaughn, Wil Ferrel, Cliff Robertson, Justin Kirk, and Lance Heinricksen. She has dealt with many aspects of production, from budgeting and scheduling, to dealing with unions and contracts, to negotiating deals with actors, crew, and vendors, to editing, post production, and project delivery. Melanie has also had the opportunity to combine her love of working in production with another one of her passions, travel, and has been able to shoot and in such places as Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, Greece, Italy, Germany, and Bulgaria.
